LIKE ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORKSHOPS
In Belgium the best business start-up projects developed by students are thrashed out over the course of a weekend: this "Start Academy" is one of those ideas which may give students a taste for entrepreneurship. Its main aim is not to train, but to reveal how a business is set up to future entrepreneurs who are often completely in the dark. This entrepreneurial culture needs to be expanded urgently to the wider education system, not just management schools. Real training courses or modules adapted for each business sector could then be organized. Other ideas for raising public awareness emerged during this first workshop. Why not design video games featuring starting up a business in order to reach college students? Or launch a major communications campaign on the benefits of being an entrepreneur? - Dr Emer NI BHRADAIGH (Fiontar Business School, Dublin City University, Ireland) - Dr Jonathan POTTER (OECD, United Kingdom) - Prof. Jean-Claude ETTINGER (Solvay Business School, Belgium) - Dr Tawhid CHTIOUI (EDHEC Lille, France) - Simone BALDASSARRI (European Commission)
- Ted VICKEY (Fitwell, USA)
- Michel DE KEMMETER (UHDR, Belgium) - Stéphane CAPLIER (Donner envie d'entreprendre, France)
